Sorry I dashed off before they finished but had a family do to go to (long story). I hope they be happy to have me sit in again. Regards Clive Allsopp (Trombone) CommentsHello, I'm a local musician that regularly enjoys a pint at The Trumpet and thought you may like to hear a recording of my big band from a few years ago.regards, Mike Green (Click Here) CommentsThanks Dave. Glad you liked it. Here's another. These are all my arrangements, by the way! Mike (Click Here) CommentsHi there! My name is Nikki van Rie, member of RANDALLiZM, rAN63 & BLACK(ink). In Memory of my boyfriend rAN... Thanks A Million & Keep On Rocking! ; ) CommentsRegarding Jochen Eisentraut, Hi! I'm obviously biased 'cos I suggested that Musti booked them, but I thought the Jochen Eisentraut Trio were excellent. When I first saw them at the National Eisteddfod in Bala I thoroughly enjoyed their music. I had heard Jochen a number of times before, but was very heartened by the fact that the bass player(Ben) was only 18,and the drummer(Joe) 20. It's always a concern to me that there are so few young jazz musicians around. By the way, full marks to Musti for playing bongos with them to bring them out of their shell:once they got going they grew in fluidity, and their second set was brilliant. It's a long way to come from north west Wales, but if they're game,I say book 'em again!! All the Best, Jules Saney CommentsGood Morning, I don't go to the Trumpet that often but when we have a girls night out (we are all in our 60's) that's where we go, it's a nice atmosphere in there and it's nice to be able to go somewhere where you feel comfortable, we particularly like Style Unlimited, they play a nice selection of music. It's nice to receive your mails telling us of who's playing there as well. Regards Irene Oxley CommentsHEY GUYS, EVERYONE I KNOW, ADORED JOE PASSALAQUA AKA JOE 'PASS', EVEN, TO THIS DAY. HE WAS THE EPITOME OF, MR. 'NICE-GUY-SUPREME! HIS TASTEFUL GUITARISTIC PHENOMENA, UN-MATCHED! HIS CHURCH-SERVICES MEMORIAL, WAS WELL ATTENDED, BY FANS FROM ALL-OVER AMERICA ...AT Catholic Church ST. MEL(?), on Ventura Blvd, near Canoga Ave(?) RIP-JOE! A guitar solo with Joe Pass. This is his version of "Satin Doll," a jazz standard written by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn with lyrics by Johnny Mercer, written in 1953. http://www.jazzonthetube.com/page/327.html Mike Green CommentsCongratulations to the Trumpet being voted the Tuesday Club Pub of the Year 2009 http://tuesdayclub.webs.com/puboftheyear.htm. Well done to Musti and all the others involved. Kind regards, Busby, Deanie and Disco Dave CommentsHi there, Just to let you know that I've created a tribute site for the Trumpet, via my Radio webpage. I have fond memories of the Trumpet, been going there since 1986, mainly when I meet up with other Slade fans, when we had Slade fan club meetings etc. You will have noticed that i have used some of your own wording, but happy to remove it, if your not happy with it. I'm quite happy to add my own text, I just wanted to see how it would look, as I said, its only a tribute site and not the official one. Here's the link to the pages I created. http://www.radiobacktrack.co.uk/radiobacktrack/Trumpet_page1.html Many thanks Dave CommentsHi there, I visited The Trumpet on Tuesday evening this week and had, as ever, a wonderful time. I write a blog about local arts and culture and just had to write a review about The Trumpet. I just hope the good word is spread to more people - it's such a hidden gem. Here is the link to the article, if you're interested: http://cultureofthrift.wordpress.com/2011/08/31/free-jazz-the-trumpet-bilston/ Thanks again for a lovely evening, Emma
